After falling to Gifu Club by a score of 7-2 in their previous meeting, the Ice Dragons were looking for a much better showing and a little payback. The boys in orange jumped out to an early 2-0 lead, and things looked eerily similar to September's tilt. With Legros 55 and Biff 81 leading the charge, the Dragons settled down and battled back. By the end of the first period Gifu's advantage was erased, and the score stood at 3-2 in favor of the Dragons. In the second period, the Ice Dragons turned up the heat. Legros 55 completed a hat trick, got started on a second, and Lejeune 7 picked up three as well. Heading into the third, the Dragons possessed a commanding 8-3 lead. Gifu added a fourth goal late in the period, but the final frame also saw Legros 55 complete a second hat trick, scoring in the final minutes of the game to cap the 12-4 victory. With six goals and four assists, Legros 55 dominated the evening, his ten points setting a new Dragons single game record. Other keys to the Dragons second straight win included Biff 81's excellent passing (5 assists plus 2 goals), short shifts and quick line changes, and a solid effort by the defensive corps, both offensively and defensively. The Ice Dragons hope to maintain momentum as they face off against their rival Steal Hearts later in the month.
