Who's got the best boss in the world? I do. He hooked up a Sleeman's for Canada Day! WOOHOO! It's not honey brown but I'm appreciative either way. It was a great gift.
Brought my gear to work and with the sweltering heat I didn't want to leave my gear in the car so I brought it in. Thankfully it didn't stink up the place. The girl that works there was super surprised at how big a hockey bag is. She's Japanese and has never seen hockey equipment.
After work, I rushed to play some shinny. PD, GW (GL?), TF & CF showed up. Disappointed that SB didn't show up. It was a good skate. I just couldn't find twine. I was playing defense. I have to stop playing with a forward mentality. I keep pinching when I'm supposed to stay back. Thankfully I had a GREAT teammate to back me up all the time and pick up my slack. THANKS Makino!
While practicing, PD reminded me that you should NEVER give up on your play. Finish off your play when practicing. I've fallen into the mentality of being Japanese & letting the next guy go because he's waiting. I need to stop that. Finish your play, finish your check. That's how the game should be played.
After the game, I finally raced PD. He was convinced it was a tie but he's just being nice. He coasted too, but I cut corners. There is no way I'm catching up to him but I tried. I seriously think he won but he won't admit it. He's too humble. I'll have to try again next time.
