Day 1 of the Shin sleeves. Seems to work quite well. No shifting, no bunching up. It is only game number one so we'll see how they hold up in a few months.
This has nothing to do with the Ice Dragons but since the club isn't really up and running yet, many of us still play for another organized team. Today, it was the 外人ライン. For those that can't read Japanese, that means the "Foreigner Line". It was PD & SB today. PD was having an off day while playing center, so he switched out with SB. SB was having a bit more luck but the referee kept getting in the way. Overall, SB potted 2, where I assisted one and PD got 1 (not sure if he had 2 or not). We were playing against a team called the Knights. They were a pretty decent team, but we pummeled them 10-4. Both SB & I feel that even though we won, it wasn't a satisfying win. Wasn't quite sure why. I personally think it was because our line wasn't feeling 100%. PD was having an off day as I wrote earlier, I was tired from the constant lack of sleep. The opposing goalie was a prick too. When I was on the bench, I watched him shove one of our players down with his glove. He may have been in the crease but that's just a dick move. According to other people, he's quite the whiner. I guess that explains all his chirping but he does have a poor attitude. I also tried to race PD after the game today, but he went ahead and skated around the rink on his own instead of waiting for me. NEXT TIME! I don't think I can catch up to him but I need a goal! Until next time. Good night.
