And with last night's skate, we lose another good player. He's going back to Cali. He'll be missed on the ice here. His gear stunk when I gave him rides but that's OK. He was good on the ice. Good luck in Cali dude.
I personally tried to hit him, of course I bounced back. I tried to hit Biff and Mikey and of course I bounced back. I need some meat on my bones. It was a good skate. Pretty even throughout the board. Sakamoto is a good goalie and is pretty solid. Possibly a backup to Issei on days he can't make it? We had Nonaka but since majority of our games are at midnight, he can't make it. Last night at least the ice didn't fog up. We were very thankful for that. We tried a racing drill yesterday. It seemed to have gone pretty good. Got people to stretch their legs without stressing out the goalies too much. Will have to remember that one. The drill was 1. Line up at diagonally opposite ends of the blue line. 2. Pucks are put in the alternate end of the blue line. 3. Line up 2 guys and they race around the net, grab a puck then shoot. 2nd guy behind is left playing catch up. I don't think it was that bad. Hopefully the boys enjoyed it.
