To share or not to share

It was a first for us to share ice with another team. Mie club. I get the strange feeling that they orchestrated the entire thing. I wanted to have a friendly match up with checking involved. Turns out they pulled some top players from Nagoya's "A" league to play against us. 

They put SP into the boards. His numbers were showing and they took him out. Of course it's all self refereeing so nothing was called. I could go on and on about how poor their sportsmanship was especially when our guys retaliated but I'll leave it at that. We did however managed to get on the board, twice.

That being said, our boys kept great composure. They kept on smiling and they played hard until the end. No one faltered, they showed they love the game. That in itself is a win for me. It sounds corny the boys didn't deserve that. They really deserved the win for playing their hearts out like that. 

We did however had a wake up call on the things we need to practice.

We'll be checking up on SP in a few to make sure he doesn't have any problems.
